Matt's Songs of the Year!
For me 2009 will be remembered for its quality music and the discovery of many artists whom I had never heard and am now a huge fan. I have a selection of 3 of my favourite songs of the year and...they're great.
- Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Heads Will Roll
Great electro rhythmic guitar driven dance song! I can't think of many more adjectives to describe this song..video's a bit odd but cool
- Grizzly Bear - Two Weeks
The hollow and sharp piano in this song and amazing harmonies and melodies make it deserving in being part of one of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year
- Florence + The Machine - Cosmic Love
"Spiritual, haunting and amazing vocal strength" some of the words used to describe Florence Welch and this year she and her band have enjoyed tremendous success with their debut album
Nearly 2010!
Its just under one week away from the end of the decade, and what a decade it's been!
It brought us amazing music, films, books and technology like the Nintendo Wii and iPod Touch.
